Peter was just a guy. He lived a normal life; working nine to five as a lorry driver transporting goods from the docks throughout Arcane and surrounding cities.
One night he stopped to help a woman at the side of the road after her car broke down.
The woman was named Sally Daniels. And the rest was history.
Peter and Sally lived a happy life, quickly moving in, together where they planned their future.
He decided to propose.
He invited his parents, sister, and his future wife to a quiet cafe near the docks. There he proposed, and Sally said yes.
It should have been the best night of his life. But seconds later, Ox would take everything from him.
They heard some explosions coming from the other side of the docks. At first, they thought nothing of it, only becoming concerned as people started to flee from the streets.
Two demons had come to ground by the dockland and were causing havoc.
Peter gathered his family so they could flee. The demonic fight had spilled into the streets. But their chance to escape was taken from them.
Ox vehicles filled the ground and the sky. They didn't give evacuation a chance when they bombed the creatures.
Peter lost everyone that day.
His old life died, and his new life was born.
Peter, like many humans, was awakened to the truth. Ox corp would take out the immortals, no matter the consequences. Collateral damage didn't matter.
The Immortals were monsters, but at least they were honest about it, Ox was the snake in the grass, and Peter knew what side he wanted to be on.
A year later he found Coran. A vampire trying to revive Saints. Peter sought out the vampire, and the two formed a friendship. Peter soon being trusted enough to join Coran's army. An army that already housed many various species, humans included.
Peter became one of Coran's trusted few.
