Fur:  His fur is soft and long in places, mostly black in colour with red streaks and highlights.

Build: Slightly taller than most pups but with a lean and agile frame.  

Personality

Orion is a playful, impatient, and energetic pup with a curiosity that can lead him astray into dangers unknown. A natural explorer, he eagerly wants to be in the middle of every situation and often is afraid to be left out or behind. His spirit is one of warmth and kindness like his father with the loyalty and strengths of his mother. Orion can be impulsive and stubborn, but his intentions are usually pure of heart. In time he will learn, but right now experience always seems to take too long.

Likes: Nighttime, running, family

Dislikes: Bodies of water or getting wet, sunny days

Powers and Abilities

As a young pup, Orion has no control or access to his full abilities. They will be learned in time and grow with him as he matures. For now, hints of his future powers come through in the following ways:

- Sneezing can randomly produce small flames from his nose.
- He is adept at hiding in small dark places
- In wolf form, a flame can appear on his tail when he gets annoyed or frustrated.

Orion possesses a combination of inherited abilities that manifest in him as the Shadow Flame, a collection of powers and skills he can call upon at will. The Shadow Flame represents the more destructive elements and nature of fire, combined with the power of darkness and shadow. Together they form the basis of the following abilities:

Dark Flame Aura
The ability to surround himself or an area with Shadow Flame for defensive and/or offensive purposes. The flames require continued energy to sustain and their range and control are subject to the caster's training and discipline.

Shadow Walk
The ability to slip in and out of shadows and walk between them regardless of physical obstacles. This is somewhat limited in range and the shadows in question must be of large enough size to accommodate the caster.

Shadow and Fire Manipulation
The power to manipulate the dark/destructive aspects of fire and shadow for use as tools, weapons, or flame aspects under the control of the caster. Range, complexity, and how long constructs can be maintained is subject to training and the energy available to the caster.

Weaknesses

Besides the weaknesses mentioned in the abilities above, Orion also has the following general weaknesses.

- Orion’s power is based on flame and shadow which is vulnerable to those who practice light magic.

- His power is weakest during the brightest daylight hours or in extremes of cold.
