Familiar
Her name is Reeva and she is a Revenant Spirit.
Definition; In folklore, a revenant is an animated corpse that is believed to have been revived from death to haunt the living.

Grainger has gained power over Reeva and can force her to do his bidding. She is entirely under his control.
Her main use is draining power from those targeted by Grainger. Power that Grainger then consumes from Reeva instantly via a spelled link., strengthening him.

Weapons
Grainger does not carry weapons. He has the dark arts at his disposal, so why would he?
If he is ever caught out and feels he is in danger he will use magic as a defense, and if that fails Reeva is spellbound to protect her master.

Strengths
Grainger has become proficient in the Dark Arts, and the more he learns to wield, the stronger he will become.

Grainger can steal energy from other powerful beings; be they, witches or immortals. He can not wield their abilities but consume their strength and use it as his own. Allowing him to channel more Black Magic.
(Note, that the power stolen is returned to the creature over time, Grainger can not steal it indefinitely. This means he seeks out power often. However, he can keep the power of a creature if he kills it during the consumption of said power)

Weaknesses
Grainger is Mortal. He can be wounded.
Though protected by spells and magics, he is as killable as any mortal. If only one could get close enough.

About
Grainger was born into a very magical bloodline, and power was what he craved.
The Sister of Freya coven stood for balance, and they were indiscriminate in their judgments.
Especially his mother Rosalina. She was the judge, the jury, and the executioner. No one dared stand against the will of his mother. They all blindly followed, as people so often do when faced with overwhelming power and blind loyalty.

As a young boy, Grainger respected the rules of his clan, and he followed his mother in the same blind awe and adoration that he now loathes. The power she wielded was breathtaking to the young man, and so was his longing to one day be as powerful.

Grainger was born during his Mother's sixteenth year and was a bastard son. Meaning that he had no legitimate right within the coven. This did not bother Grainger as a young one, but it certainly did as he grew older. Especially when he grew to understand that his sister would be granted much more esteem and power by the coven due to her legitimacy.

Grainger was not like the other witches in his coven. He didn't long for balance, he longed for strength and power. He obsessed over growing that power by any means. A dark seed bloomed in his soul, and he became obsessed with nourishing it.

Power meant more to him than his coven, it meant more to him than his family. And soon Grainger learned that he would have to immerse himself in the dark arts to gain such power.

He was discovered and excommunicated from his clan. Tossed into a lonely existence, where he had to learn how to live without the collective power being in a coven had provided for him.
But his desire for strength and destruction would now let him slip silently off and be forgotten, no. Grainger would find his way back to strength, clawing his way through the underworld if he had to.

He started small. Summoning wayward spirits and creatures so he could destroy them and consume their power. It took some time, but he would eventually be strong and confident enough to seek out his family.

When the time came he arrived on Otara Mortus. He was stronger than they could have ever imagined, he wasn't like them he wasn't bound by balance and nature.
Yet, he was not strong enough. He needed to consume far more power to get what he wanted. But he needed to be smart about it.

He'd start small and work his way up.
