Overwhelmed [Maylin] Empty Overwhelmed [Maylin]

After putting up with all the emotions from his siblings along with everyone else, he was having a rather difficult time in closing himself off that in his efforts of trying to he ended up overwhelming himself --- He wasn't as good at dealing with his powers unlike his other siblings that actually had powers that were good at both offensive and defensive capabilities. Along with the fact that to him, their powers held a utility of uses.

Since he was failing at keeping himself in check, he had decided to leave the compound of the school and made his way to the only place that he knew was away from people without telling anyone, a place that would allow him to not be around any or as many emotions, the cathedral that was under construction. Rowen had climbed up quite high within the scaffolding, he didn't want to get caught nor found easily. Now that he was away from everyone and everything he laid down and stared up towards the setting sky, enjoying it's hues of orange, pink and blue.

The raven haired boy took a deep inhale of breathe before closing his eyes and breathing out, he knew without trying to calm himself down he wasn't going to chill. He didn't understand how his Mother was able to deal with such an overwhelming power, it often made him wish he had an elemental power like the rest of his siblings at times like he was feeling currently.

Maylin walked through the dimly lit streets and headed up the hill to the Cathedral that loomed over the city. Kit had filled her in on the training session with the pups; from what she gathered, it went well. The pups were all buzzing with excitement which May couldn't help but smile at. It was rare that all of her children agreed on something, so she always enjoyed these rare occasions when there was no arguing. However, she was acutely aware of a missing presence and couldn't help but seek Rowan out. Maylin loved all her children equally but often spent more one-on-one time with Rowan, seeing as he had inherited her abilities. Her gift and curse she had passed on, and so she felt responsible when Rowan struggled. But he always ran to the same place, and she would always find him.

She wrapped her arms around herself as she stepped onto the ground of the Cathedral. She was wearing a long-sleeved floral dress, but she had layered it with a large oversized jumper to try to keep the chill off of her. The sun was setting, and Saints Strand was no place for a child once the sun went down. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, allowing herself to open up to people's emotions. As expected, there was only one source coming from the scaffolding of the building. She frowned, worried about him being on the structure, but she didn't want him picking up on that. Instead, she reached out, feeling how overwhelmed and frustrated he was. She could relate to how he was feeling. Even now, Maylin didn't have the control she would like, but being surrounded day and night by a dozen pups for the last few years had helped her develop her powers.

She reached out to Rowan and could feel how wide open he was. He was probably exhausted from trying to control himself around all his siblings earlier. She let herself in gently; she made Rowan aware of her presence as she pushed love and comfort into him in a way that would be familiar to him. She didn't want to startle or make him think he was in trouble. She knew better than anyone the need for solitude when it all became too much. " Hello, sweetheart," she called up, knowing his hearing was good enough to hear her without her needing to shout. " Do you want to join me down here, or shall I join you? " she asked, wanting to give her son some autonomy but hoping he would come off the scaffolding and back on the ground where it was safe.
