Marcus and his wife Haru, live in a cabin built by Marcus. It is located close to Death Manor within the Black woods. Between the Manor and the Kostas Pack Den.

Appearance




Marcus's Physique is not unlike the males within his family line, Tall and agile though carrying the weight of a well muscled frame, the image of a fighter.

He appears to be in his mid twenties. His complexion is pale as usually found with vampires his eyes standing out in contract with startling blue/green colouration.

His  hair is generally kept around shoulder height but from time to time he becomes inclined to change it. It's colour varies from copper tones to red like his mother's depending upon the lighting.

A pattern of scarring marks the left side of his torso from Collar bone to hip, one large one surrounded by smaller ones. (Ox Doing)

He has a mess of scar tissue centrally upon his back and his chest (Plague's doing)

Most of his body has become pepper'd with light scarring over the years, from various battles, the worst of them are stated above.



He had many and various forms of body art, his back contains the image of a wind chime surrounded by wraith like beings.(Representing himself and Hope, No picture available)

Upon his lower neck inked are the names Mum, Luca, Hope, Destiny and Haru. The name Karne was there but a line has been crossed through it (no picture Available)

His chest has extensive tribal tattoos, which appeared when his blood merged with dragon DNA.


His Left arm is tattoo's with a dragon, homage to his best friend Ryu and the dragon  DNA he has.


His Right arm has fish tattoos marking his pet fish Finley 1 (R.I.P) and Finley 2



And upon both legs he has a black forest tattooed on in homage to his elemental abilities but also the woods that they call home.


His left and right ear are pierced as are his right eyebrow, nose and lip.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Marcus shares some of his strengths and weaknesses with his sister, the strengths they share are:

They are mind linked to one another so they are able to speak to each other without speaking, no amount of distance weakens this link the twin's bond much to powerful.

They share pain with one another which they call pain detection, Marcus can feel pain when Hope feels it and Hope when Marcus does, this is good for informing them if the other is suffering or in danger.

The twins can astral project to one another, the power is very limited and very physically taxing to them, they are only able to hold an image for a few seconds and they are not able to speak or move just appear to the other as a flickering form. The twins will use this power if they are some how unable to find or contact the other one, it will show them where the other is so in order for them to be able to locate them and learn what has happened.

His individual strengths are as follows:

Enhanced breath is the ability to create force winds, or take the air away by either exhaling or inhaling. Marcus is able to Create winds strong enough to demolish buildings or relocate them, he is able to blow fast enough to ice over objects with cold as an after effect.

He can inhale strongly enough to move objects towards him and take the air from an area momentarily which is useful in suffocating fires.

Elemental Affinity -Marcus gains strength when exposed to the elements. Elements of any kind, due to this fact he can often be found outside or with all windows open.


Having a family such as he had Marcus is more then able in handling himself in a battle especially hand to hand due to time spent with in the dojo mainly taking up mixed martial arts so he is competent in many different fighting styles.

He is proficient with most weapons due to training with his step father Luca and Luca's sister Clara but also with his Mother's best friend Knigh who taught him how to use all the weapons he possessed for his line of work as an assassin.


Dragon DNA
He now has powers when in his dragon Semi Morph form (Appears human with dragon scales), he has tough bones and skin to match a dragon's strength.
His own strength is improved due to this.

Only when in his Humanoid/dragon form he can use, make and manipulate flames at his will.



Weapon of choice- Katana, Named Gekido, forged by his father Karne. It feeds of the energy of his foes while in battle.



Weakness


Silver has a toxic effect and in large quantities can be lethal.

The pain detection he and Hope have can also be a weakness, distracting them or possibly disabling them in combat.

Environmental aversion, if enclosed in a space with no access to the outside world (e.g. a window) Marcus will quickly start to weaken and lose his powers he will eventually find mortality and start becoming severely ill with human plights until eventually if not exposed to the elements he will perish.


Personality

Marcus is a stark contrast in some ways from the usual male in the Death and Reign family, being no way egotistical he feels no need to be the 'best' and no need to prove himself to anyone but his family.
Thanks to his mother he was mainly untainted by family politics and managed to learn who he was for himself without having it dictated to him by expectations,until his latter years.

He used to take things as they came and was always described as being laid back and patient with a humorous open approach to most things.

Things changed for Marcus as he aged (Will be explained further in history) he has become more guarded, and much less trusting. His care free ways are a thing of the past. He and his siblings endured things at that no one should have to endure at very young ages in it shaped who they became.
Marcus suffered under the hands of many and as a result of his soul being taken from his body more then once, it fractured. Leaving him in utter torment. Flash backs, hallucinations and psychosis plighting his daily life for years, until his mother found a way to temporarily patch the fractures.

Since then Marcus has kept a tenuous grasp upon control. He often is found in  the woodlands, in trance like states (They help him to centre himself)
He can appear aloof at times, and at others distracted. But he had remained his self control.
When in a good place Marcus's self control is something to be in awe of.  He can stand human blood with ease, his hunger never seeming to be a factor. He has even married a human. Never once having the urge to harm her.
He has developed a very impressive mask, usually seeming to be a pillar of calm in stressful situations, able to compartmentalise awful events so he can deal with them properly and process then at a later time when alone.

For the most part he shoulders his burdens well. Hope and Cass being the only ones to see them for what they are.

He is loyal without question, and would do anything for his family including his new wife and his best friend. He lives for them and is extremely protective. Yet he knows his place in the coven. And follows his sisters lead.

Likes and Dislikes

Likes- (Well loves) His pet goldfish called Finley, he had him from childhood allowing him extra long life by giving him a drop of his own blood a month. RIP Finley. Finley was killed and Marcus now owns a similar fish called Finley Mark II who he also sustains with his blood.

He enjoys watching things, people, animals, landscapes. Due to having to spend a large amount of time outside he has taught himself to enjoy just simply being somewhere, he would be more then happy to sit in one spot for hours just to watch the sun move across the skies.

He enjoys time spent with his family and Wife having always chosen them above anything else, he would rather a night in with them then a night out on the town with those he didn't know or care for.

Dislikes
Marcus has a low tolerance for unnecessary rudeness or cruelty. He becomes short tempered when faced with either.

He hates being in small spaces for the fear that he will become trapped in them and trigger his Aversion (see weaknesses), he becomes agitated and almost fearful when in confined areas. (e.g. elevators, crawl spaces and so on

He doesn't cope well with loss of control, he tries hard to remain centred as much as he can. Feeling out of control terrifies him.

History
Brief History
Marcus and Hope were raised in their mother's home. Where Blake Park now stands. For the most part their young childhood was good.
Their father Karne, was with them at the very start. But he did not stick around for long. Their mother moving on to get with their stepfather Luca. They were raised by both. They had a doting extended family consisting of Dakhia, Knigh, Clara, Azariel, Ketzu and some others.
They were brought up with Dakhia's son Ryu.
Their mother sheltered them well, and they were mainly unaware of the 'real world', they lived as children should live. Though they ages very quickly due to the advanced ageing of born vampires.
Everything was as it should be. They had become teens, each of the three (Ryu) included, stretching the boundaries (Hope mainly), getting into trouble, or sneaking off into the clubs.

It wasn't until when they were in their late teens that things took a turn for the worse. Karne had been in and out of their lives. Leaving confusion and destruction in his wake each times. Broken promises, and broken hearts, until the children no longer trusted him.

A lot happened within these years. OX corp managed to capture Marcus, after a night on the town had gone wrong. They tortured him, cutting him open, taking him to the very verge of death.
His family saves him, but the memories of that night, and of Bade never left him.

Things moved on and Luca and Cass were to marry. But on their wedding day, Ox broke into their home and murdered Cass, committing a follow up attack a few days later where they blew up their mother's home. Killing Luca and (Gasp) Finley.

If things couldn't get worse the family became tangled up with demons, two specific ones Plague and Xaphan. Each one were high ranking demons who eventually created their own hell realm (Mayhem)

Dakhia was posessed by Xaphan and attacked Hope and Ryu, Ryu ended up killing his father before dying himself. Leaving Hope broken and in a catatonic state, Marcus falling into a deep grief, lost without his sister and his best friend.

Ryu was reborn, blood that Marcus had given him rejuvenated him.
Marcus thew Ryu a party, and during that Party, Plague turned up. Punching his hand through Marcus, ripping his insides apart, before throwing him down into the crowds, to his father Karne bellow.
Marcus was plunged into Mayhem. Where he met the soul of his Mother and his step father. Both fighting to get him free. Plague allowed Marcus to return with Cass, after Cass made a deal, but he tore Luca from them once more.

For the next year or so they were torn into more turbulence. Marcus Gaining dragon like abilities from Ryu after having an injury where he had to take blood from Ryu.
During this time Haru came into their lives. She was betrothed to Ryu. And even though Ryu and Hope loved one another the arranged marriage was to go ahead.  

The twins then had a sister. Destiny being born. Their mother having a relationship with a stranger they hated named Lyle (Who soon walked out on mother and baby) their mother changed, becoming cold and at times cruel. Especially to the baby. Hope taking their younger sister under her wing.

Clara killed herself. Her and Marcus were very close and it broke him. But she has ulterior motive. She returned, bringing with her Luca, (Step father) But he was insane. Eventually Hope had to kill him (Marcus still doesn't know Hope did it) to put him out of his misery as his mind never recovered.

Ryu became sick, and it turned out his brother inlaw to be was poisoning him. Haru saved him but the wedge between Hope, Marcus and Ryu grew further. Hope discovered that Marcus was in love with Haru (The woman she hated) yet nothing bloomed between them for years until well after Ryu and Haru's engagement had been called off.

Life continued just as painfully until Destiny turned 16. They threw her a party. And her father Lyle turned up. Uninvited, telling them all the truth. He was actually Plague and he had come to claim his daughter.
Destiny was taken from them.
Upon Destiny's return she was different, her father had changed her, and she killed the twins, though their death was only temporary, Cass agreeing to go with Plague and Destiny to Mayhem to save them.

The twins woke to find their mother gone again. Tortured by the fact they had just witnessed each other die and then lost their mother and sibling once more.

Some time later, Destiny returned, only without their mother. She had claimed her powers and she had killed her Father. She was back, but left a few months later to travel with her lover Roman.

Karne came back again for a time, with his aunt. And they helped Hope take up the mantle before leaving her to it. Hope forming an alliance with the Matashina coven, (Who moved in) so they could all find refuge from Ox Corp.

In the time that followed Marcus moved to the cabin to be with Haru, and they wed.
Cass returned, and it turned out she had been back for years hiding with Karne, Hope had known about it but not told him, As Cass had been medically insane and didnt remember them.
Finding out Hope knew all along drove a wedge between thenm, but Marcus forgave her in the end. And is still getting used to the fact his mother is back, not only that she is human.

This brings us up to current times.
Ox is forcing them closer and closer to extinction.
Haru could give birth to their first child at any moment.
And the temporary patch upon Marcus's soul is running out of time.
